Setup Fee
A setup fee is a one-time charge for print preparation, typical of screen printing. DTF has none — we prepare your print file for free.
A setup fee is a one-time charge added to an order to cover preparing the machines for printing. It is a holdover from screen printing, where every color in a design requires burning a separate screen — a cost the print shop usually passes on to the client, color by color.
With the DTF technology we print with, there are simply no screens — your design goes straight from the file onto heat-transfer film, no matter how many colors it has. That is why at PodKoszulki.com there is no setup fee: print-file preparation is free, and so are the quote and the design proof before production.
When comparing print shops, always ask about setup fees — a low price per piece can hide surcharges for colors, films, or so-called digitizing. With us, the price on your quote is the final price.
